YOUNG SOLOIST COMPETITION 

The competition was established in 1988 as a result of the 11th Duke of Devonshire’s financial generosity towards the Orchestra and gives the winner the opportunity of performing a concerto with the Eastbourne Symphony Orchestra.

First round: Saturday and Sunday 5 and 6 January 2019

ESO Young Soloist Competition Final, 2pm, Birley Centre BN21 4EF on Sunday 27 January 2019

The final round (£10 on the door; no tickets in advance) will comprise the five finalists who will present a
20-minute performance of two contrasting concerto movements.

The winner will play a concerto with the Eastbourne Symphony Orchestra.
